All manufacturing and service industries will try to dominate the market in order to achieve maximum profit. The effort is always faced with a tight competition, so it takes more effort or extra to win the competition. In order to obtain an optimum benefit, need maximum support from the company, not only adequate infrastructure but also should be supported by the environment or good work culture so that the employee’s performance can be optimized. One of the techniques that can be applied to create a good working culture is the 5S concept. 5S or Seiri/ Brief, Seiton/ Neat, Seiso/ Rehearsal, Seikutse/ Rawat & Shitsuke/ Diligent an organizing concept workplace environment into an environment that is orderly, structured and visualized. With the aim to produce a working rhythm efficient, fast and precise, so that will impact on the optimal performance of the employees, increasing productivity, improving quality and decreasing costs.
